Historical Background
In year 1975 Mr. Gulshan Kumar Dhupar a resident of Kanpur an industrial city of Uttar Pradesh saw a dream to serve the industries flourished in and around the city. He started to produce different types of “pigments” and “protein binders” for the leather tanneries.
After getting good response from the local consumers he added “wax emulsions” in 1976 and in year 1978 he launched “top coat” –lacquers and “dye solutions”. A warm response from the customers / consumers caused him to introduce more and more new products and strong & stream line started.New helping hands are joined all together and stone of Dhupar Chemicals Pvt. Ltd., was laid down in a wide premises of 46,000 sq. yd. at Mandhana near G.T. Road Kanpur.The production started in full swing and in year 1984 “acrylic binders” added in the range of products. Now the Dhupar Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. had become most reliable name in the leather finishing chemicals amongst the tanners not only in Kanpur but throughout the nation where leather manufacturing pays vital role in Indian economy.The fame of DCPL crossed the national border and reached aboard. Customers of Bangladesh, Egypt, and Europe tested our claims at all optimum conditions and are now amongst our most satisfied customers.
Diversifying from the manufacturing sector, DCPL stepped-in the consulting erection of leather plant & machineries which was successfully adopted by several national / overseas tanners. In later years DCPL became authorized agent of many multinational companies like “Bayer”, “Chromoginia”, “Sicci”, “Pulcra” for their specialty products used in tanneries.Coming forward DCPL launched “polyurethane dispersions” in 2006 that is receiving warm welcome from the valued patrons. In later years “fat liquors” became another jewel in the wide list products.By 2016, a sufficient time had been passed and “DCPL” is a well known brand name competing many multinational companies in its field or sometimes replaced MNCs in many leather industries.
